NYC with Julien!

Salut, tout le monde! C'est Sabine!

Wow, I have a lot to tell everyone. My terrible cousin is back in my life, but that's another story for another post. This post is more exciting, though, because in January, Julien visited New York City with me! My brother currently attends grad school at NYU and works in the city, so I have a free place to stay. I've really missed my brother, so I was happy to be able to spend time with him. However, I didn't get to spend as much time with him as I would've liked because he and Julien got food poisoning and were out of commission. My first day in the city, I spent some time with Inky's friends and had an absolute blast. We went shopping and ate dinner at AGPNY.

I thought the Gabriela window was super cool:

After dinner, I took some typical touristy pics at Rockefeller Center...

...and in Times Square.

The next day, my brother and Julien were feeling much better, so we explored the city and saw Viana (aka Moana) in English. My brother hasn't seen it, and I felt that he was missing out. Julien and I changed that, of course. Julien and I also took an obscene amount of photos in Bryant Park. Check them out!

Of course, the pics with Julien in them are my favorites!

I hope you enjoyed our photos! I promise tons of new posts in 2017.

A la prochaine,

First for Everything

Bonjour! C'est Aurélie! Ça va? Oui, c'est affreux que je n'ai pas écrit.

I hate to say it, but I have been busy, and that's why I haven't written. Furthering my ballet career has taken a lot of time and energy. Last year was rough. Between school and ballet and an argument with Sabine that almost destroyed our years-long friendship, I just haven't had the energy to blog.

In October, I went to NYC for the first time and had a blast. I went for ballet-related reasons, I was fortunate enough that Inky and her moms let me stay with them.

I had to be touristy and get my picture taken in Rockefeller Center.

When I went, it was the time of year when Inky takes her holiday photos at the Lincoln Center fountain. I didn't have any holiday wear with me, but I did have several pictures taken by the fountain,

I took some photos with Inky. I don't really fit in since I'm in my casual clothes!

Lincoln Center is probably my favorite place in the city since it's home of the NYC Ballet. This shouldn't shock anybody.

You have no idea how badly I'd love to see a ballet by the NYC Ballet!!!! I'm going to try to go one this summer.

It was a beautiful day, so we took a walk through Central Park. It was so relaxing and much prettier than Lille's Citadelle park, I love the Citadelle, but I walk there all the time with Sabine.

It was a wonderful trip, and I hope to return and visit Inky again. I also would love to meet her friend Coral, who is as obsessed with ballet as I am.
